Bio: My ocean going experience started in 2011 onboard the SSV Corwith Cramer, after which I endeavored to find opportunities to go back put to sea. I spent several years working with CFCs in a chemical tracer oceanography lab at my alma mater, the University of Texas, before heading to graduate school and starting a job at the University of Miami. Between my job and graduate school, I have been on 4 oceanographic research cruises in 4 different oceans and have loved every moment of them, and I look forward to many more with the Ocean Carbon Group.

What I’m doing on this cruise: I am the lead analyst measuring dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) for GOMECC-3.  DIC consists of dissolved CO2, carbonate and bicarbonate, and it is one of the main components of the oceanic carbon cycle.
